The Casa Christa Restaurant welcomes its guests with a beautiful panorama of Lake Balaton. From the terrace covered with sailing canvas, guests can admire the waters of Lake Balaton, Tihany, the surrounding hills, and the 2,000 almond trees surrounding the restaurant.
The carefully crafted à la carte menu changes several times per season, complemented by daily specials on the chalkboard. The dishes are prepared by combining Hungarian and French elements, in close collaboration with local producers, using fruits, vegetables, and herbs grown on the estate. The menu abounds with vegetarian and vegan options, while young guests are greeted with a children's menu. As a dog-friendly restaurant, four-legged friends can happily frolic on the estate.
The protagonists of the wine list are the wines of Lake Balaton, followed by wines offered by other Hungarian wine regions, but those who are interested in old- or new-world wines will not be disappointed by the selection.
The restaurant has twice (in 2022 and 2023) been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand designation and in 2023, it was awarded the title of "Beloved Restaurant" by the Dining Guide. In 2023, the Best of Balaton jury selected the restaurant among the awardees. In 2023, the Veuve Clicquot Champagne House chose Casa Christa as its flagship restaurant in Hungary.
